BIOPHILIA & Interactions between the built and the natural environment in Britain today.
biophilia • \bye-oh-FILL-ee-uh\ • noun. : a hypothetical human tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature.
The exhibition gathers the works of five young artists exploring the concept of Biophilia, the idea that human beings are naturally prone to crave nature. “Biophilia” was born from the government recently announced plans to further urbanise Britain’s landscape; critical artists and innovative architects discuss what this move means for our relationship with the natural environment.
